Thinking globally, acting locally

We aim to raise awareness in the locality of Beaminster and its satellite villages issues relating to climate change, nature and wildlife depletion, and overuse of world resources. We work to find local solutions for how we can all contribute to reduce these impacts.
Who we are
Beaminster Area Eco Group is a community association, established in 2018. Activities are managed by volunteer representatives from Beaminster and the surrounding villages. Our membership comes from these same communities as well as more widely across West Dorset.

Our Aims
We are focused on actions to care for our local environment through, for example, our tree and hedge planting activities. We contribute, and encourage our membership to do so, to national campaigns, such as reduction of plastic use, the destruction/waste of natural resources. We encourage participation in citizen science projects and projects to plant wild flowers to help pollinating insects. If you would like to join us click here.
