Tree Planting
In its first 5 years BAEG and its volunteers have helped to plant over 3,000 trees and hedgerow plants in public spaces, private gardens and fields around Beaminster and its satellite villages, including Netherbury, Corscombe and Halstock, Broadwindsor and Drimpton.

Our saplings are sourced via The Woodland Trust and The Conservation Volunteers. They are then nurtured for around 1 year in the BAEG tree nursery on the Broadwindsor Allotment site (courtesy of Broadwindsor Group Parish Council), before being donated  for the winter planting season to local individuals or property owners, where the trees and/or hedgerow will be visible from a road or public footpath. For information about availability of tree/hedge saplings to plant and volunteering opportunities for the winter of 2024-25 please contact us via our email: beaminstereco@gmail.com.
